Alte to Almodôvar and back (115km)

This hilly route starts and ends in the beautiful village of Alte and it will take you to Almodôvar, a nice town in the Alentejo region. You will have to climb “Alto do Malhão”, the most iconic climb in the area where the “Volta ao Algarve” queen stage finishes. During all the route you’ll have to face the Algarve hills, which will challenge you the whole way. We recomend you to have a good bite to eat in Pastelaria Sarita or Pastelaria Primavera, in Almodôvar which is more or less in the midle of the ride. If you want something earlier then that, you can have at the top of “Malhão”. If you need something later in the day, you can go to “Casa dos Presuntos” in Cortelha. You can always count with Germano bike café for a coffee before you start the ride or for a recovery meal or a finishing beer after the ride.
