This tour begins in Portugal’s captivating capital, Lisbon — a city alive with music, colour and history. From the banks of the Tejo, you’ll ride west towards the wild Atlantic coast, where breakers crash onto sweeping sandy beaches and the landscape feels raw and untamed. Just inland, the route winds through the lush greenery of the Sintra–Cascais Natural Park, before continuing north to Nazaré, famed for its record-breaking waves and magnetic pull on surfers from across the world. Between stretches of coastline lie charming seaside towns such as Porto Novo and São Pedro do Moel, offering a slower pace and a taste of traditional coastal life.
Crossing the Douro River, you’ll arrive in Porto, gateway to one of the world’s oldest wine regions, before turning towards the Spanish border. Beyond it, the terrain becomes hillier as you ride through the ancient forests of Galicia, following quiet roads towards the pilgrimage city of Santiago de Compostela. Your journey ends here, among pilgrims from around the globe who have travelled this route for centuries.
This tour is designed for the adventurous cyclist seeking something a little different — a journey with meaning as well as miles. Whatever your spiritual or personal motivation, it offers space for reflection, challenge and a deep sense of purpose along the road.
