Monchique – 8 Loop (50km)

This route starts in Velochique, in the center of Monchique. It’s basically an 8 shape loop that goes to Alferce and comes back to Monchique via Picota and then you go around the mountain until you get to Marmelete. After that you will have to climb back to Monchique. You will pass in Velochique just where the 8 crosses, so more or less in the middle of your ride. You can stop there for a coffee or a bite to eat. If not you can stop in Marmelete at “Restaurante Sol e Serra” for a coffee or even a proper meal. Otherwise, Velochique will have you at the start or at the end of your ride for coffee or for a nice meal.
