Castro Verde – Barranco Loop(135km)

This route starts in Castro Verde. A really traditional town in the midle of the Alentejo region. The route will take you to “Serra do Caldeirão” in the Algarve and you’ll face multiple hills. The main one will be “Barranco do Velho” that features 6 kilometers at 5% average gradient. Straight after the top you can stop at “Casa dos Presuntos” for a coffee and a traditional prosciutto sandwich. You’ll also pass twice at Almodôvar and if you need to get something there, go to “Esquina” for some really nice toasties and pastries.
