Paradise Cycling Tours maintains professional liability insurance through Fidelidade, one of Portugal’s established insurance providers. Our current policy provides up to €75,000 of professional liability cover per claim.

In simple terms, professional liability insurance exists to protect clients if a travel agency makes an error or fails to deliver a service as contracted.

Financial Protection Through the Travel and Tourism Guarantee Fund

As a registered Portuguese travel agency, Paradise Cycling Tours contributes to Portugal’s Travel and Tourism Guarantee Fund (FGVT), which forms part of the country’s consumer protection framework for travelers booking through licensed tour operators.

In practical terms, the fund may provide protection if a travel agency becomes insolvent, fails to deliver the services that were purchased, or is unable to refund payments for services that were not provided. It may also cover certain additional expenses incurred as a result of those services not being delivered.
