This huge expanse in Portugal’s interior is unknown to most tourists. The Alentejo’s expansive plains are dotted with small villages that feel utterly untouched by modern life, but some of the best producers of cheese, wine and olive oil in the country are still found here. Quiet, smooth tarmac roads roll on and on through the landscape.

For many miles cyclists will be grateful for the plane trees that line the route, providing shelter from the strong sun – but don’t forget to look out for storks who roost in the telegraph poles beside the road.

Ci ha tracciato un percorso fantastico con panorami bellissimi, abbiamo percorso  strade senza traffico e con fondo perfetto. Ottima scelta di Hotel e ristoranti.
