Loulé – Almodôvar Loop (120km)

This hilly route starts and ends in the beautiful town of Loulé and it will take you to Almodôvar, a nice town in the Alentejo region. You will have to climb “Alto do Malhão”, the most iconic climb in the area where the “Volta ao Algarve” queen stage finishes. During all the route you’ll have to face the Algarve hills, which will challenge you the whole way. We recomend you to have a good bite to eat in Pastelaria Sarita or Pastelaria Primavera, in Almodôvar which is more or less in the midle of the ride. If you want something earlier then that, you can have at the top of “Malhão”. If you need something later in the day, you can go to “Casa dos Presuntos” in Cortelha. There’s always cafés open in the main street by the market of Loulé, where you can have a recovery meal after the ride or a coffee before the start.
