Alte – Dogueno Loop (100km)

This hilly route starts and ends in the beautiful village of Alte and it will take you the Algarve mountains on the most beautiful an quiet roads. You will have to climb “Alto do Malhão”, the most iconic climb in the area where the “Volta ao Algarve” queen stage finishes. During all the route you’ll have to face the Algarve hills, which will challenge you the whole way. At some point you will cross the border to the Alentejo region, but you’ll be back in the Algarve shortly after. We recomend you to have a good bite to eat at the café on top of “Malhão” or later on the ride, you can go to “Casa dos Presuntos” in Cortelha. You can always count with Germano bike café for a coffee before you start the ride or for a recovery meal or a finishing beer after the ride.
